(CHALLENGE)
GROWING DEMAND FOR SOFT SKILLS
We began as a spin-off from Mambo, an innovation consultancy, responding to a rising demand for soft skills training for corporate teams. I was invited to co-found a solution that could meet this need at scale.

SCALING IMPACT THROUGH TECH
We developed tailored programs for companies across industries. I led the UX-driven product design, continuously improving the training experience through user feedback and behavioural insights.

But it quickly became clear that the greatest training gap (and opportunity) was among blue-collar operators. To meet this demand, we needed technology that could scale our solution. That’s when we merged with a tech startup and became Excuela.

ONE OF PERU’S TOP EDTECHS
Excuela has since raised over USD 1M in funding, joined Endeavor’s global network, participated in the BID Lab program in Spain, won the Tec Prize 2024, and been recognised by COFIDE and Silver Connect as one of Peru’s most innovative companies.

While I eventually chose to follow new opportunities that aligned more closely with my purpose, being part of Excuela’s founding team remains one of my
proudest and most formative experiences.
